Unique doesn't mean rubbish, Unique means something different from the norm.I saw an theme park influencer describe the event as “unique” which is usually code for “rubbish” but they can’t call it rubbish because they’ve been let them in for free and don’t want to lose their perks.

Unique means the only one of its kind, completely unlike anything else.Unique doesn't mean rubbish, Unique means something different from the norm.
Something "different from the norm" could be described as deviant, aberrant, unusual, atypical or anomalous.
Each to their own, but I do think that Gran National slippers are a bit tacky. So no Gran National slippers for me today.

Shame that there’s no upgrade option for passholders. If it weren’t for Aviktas I wouldn’t be bothering to renewMeant to add, if anyone actually wants to do it, you can 'upgrade' a normal eticket via the app to include JTH - £15 currently.
There were indeed a collection of camera folk. A group were brought straight to the front of the Twisted queue, much to the dismay of everyone else.
Whilst collecting my tickets, Amanda arrived, and lingered around the entrance/shop. No speeches or anything, in fact, didn't see her speak to any guests.

Did Journey To Hell on Saturday night and overall I enjoyed it. Using such a specific area of the park coupled with the amount of walk around characters meant you were never waiting long for interactions with them, great when waiting in the queues for the rides and mazes.
Really enjoyed the Ghost Train and Alice In Wonderland rides with the added actors for scares, made me miss Duel Live for sure. (Bring that back Towers!)
Did the tunnels/river caves mazes first which was pretty long. Plenty of bits were you were stopped by the actors to advance or be told stories before continuing on. Fun to walk inside the river caves trough as well.
The impossible maze was shorter but used the building well. Again you were guided and stopped as you went that added to the experience.
Also managed a ride on the Grand National and the Derby Racer.
Also should say this trip was only sorted a week or so ago so my usual hotels were either booked or more than I wanted to pay, so had to try elsewhere.
Ended up staying in the Parkfield Hotel on Withnell Road, which conveniently is 5 minutes walk from the Velvet Coaster.
Nice rooms, good price, and a tasty breakfast.

Visited today - first time in 3-4 years. Overall I'd say the park was well maintained (clean, no litter) and the rides operated efficiently. Big One closed due to winds, and Big Dipper closed due to tech - but overall quite an OK experience. The downsides were rides SBNO and sheer amount of space where rides used to be and nothing has replaced them. A few rides could do with a lick of paint also. Alas was driving so didn't get to experience Crevettes.
As someone who has expressed as desire for higher prices and a better experience, I'd say the entry price + SpeedyPass were about the right cost. Probably missing 2-3 extra rides to compliment the park and make it feel "packed full" again. Oh, and the "Halloween" extras looked like the were done on a shoestring budget - nowhere close to TP.

As much as we’re all taking the mick here, I’d just like to say that Hot Ice is actually really good and Ive thoroughly enjoyed it every time I’ve seen it.
I watched the ice show at Europa Park’s Traumatica in September and it wasn’t anywhere near as good. It was pretty bad actually.
We should be careful what we wish for; Hot Ice is a high quality production and it would be a real shame to lose it. The biggest issue is that no one goes to watch it, sadly.

I agree completely about the actual production, but if the audience has been so low, for so long, surely there should be changes?
Opportunity cost figures highly here.
The choices foregone due to this investment.
What projects over time have been shelved to subsidise the gaffer's favourite project?
I'm pretty certain it loses a very large lump of possible modest off the peg flat ride every season.
When the park is in such a poor state physically, is it a sensible investment when few people actually see it?

It seems as though they’re taking this on board by making a family friendly matinee offering for next season. Even if they have free entry to park ticket holders they will have a much better chance of filling the arena and increasing secondary spendI agree completely about the actual production, but if the audience has been so low, for so long, surely there should be changes?

Yes but it’s been free entry to a show that has had zero appeal to families. Going for a family friendly theme with Alice in Wonderland may be a good move to increase visitsThey have had free matinee tickets to park wristband/paid entry holders for decades as well!

I think its a good move to have a show that may be of interest to the kids.
But will they advertise it well enough ?
In the last few years you wouldn't have known there was a daytime show available for park guests unless you were looking for it.
Not sure how long the daytime show is but if they are aiming to get kids in then it shouldn't be longer than 30 minutes.
Personally i reckon i would have had enough after 10 minutes. I appreciate they are very skilled at what they do but its all just ice skating at the end of the day. Its like going to the circus with one act that lasts for two hours.
