Blackpool Pleasure Beach: 2026 Discussion
Quantity ride Pleasure Beach still does alright, has plenty of coasters, dark rides and flat rides.
But the aging nature means the quality of some of them just isn’t there, when you combine that with the not keeping on top of maintenance, and that the SBNO rides are still there as a reminder, there’s so much room for improvement.

Lovely, slightly moist and very quiet trip to the Beach today.
Yet again ten out of ten to the lovely ladies of Crevettes...
Free hand warmers at the start of the day, free cream cakes at the end.
Service above and beyond...
Good company, short queues, reasonable ops.
Bring on the termtime weekdays.
Barely a vlogger in sight.
Bonus.

Yes a good day out as always. The day topped off nicely with free Victoria sponge cake from the lovely ladies in Crevettes.
Nothing exciting to report in terms of the park. But we did spot the inside of a phone cabinet on the big dipper which still had phone numbers for the log flume and fun house written on it.

Time passed in the rain yesterday looking at some old press cuttings and stuff on a new unofficial Beach site, sheltering in Crevettes.
Very good detailed old stuff that will no doubt be ripped off soon by random vloggers.
Made by some strange thoosie into deep detail...lots of stuff this old happy clapper has never seen before.

Be careful out there, it may be difficult to find the exit...

First post on the forums! Wanted somewhere to discuss my local park.
I visited yesterday and thought while it was a good day. The rides were not playing ball yesterday with the weather! Icon broke down multiple times, Avalanche late opening too.
It felt like Pleasure Beach just scraped a pass yesterday!

Welcome to the forum @Britty27
Pleasure Beach rarely does more than just scraping a pass these days.
You will find this thread is mostly doom and gloom with the occasional post of optimism. Lots of recurring themes that come around like clockwork but still a great debating platform for all things pleasure beach.
There are of course other threads to enjoy, apparently there are even some about a certain theme park in the midlands. I hear it has even more problems than pleasure beach at the moment !

The Richard Rodriguez poster in the Big Dipper station still generates plenty of discussion. The group in front of me on Saturday had their phones out calculating how many days 1000 hours was. Like said previously on the thread, it’s a shame there’s not a QR code linked to video ect documenting the record attempt. Would be something to watch for the 30 mins you have to wait on a one train op.I will just add that as rob says, the site is an amazing source of information about the pleasure beach and a great read for any enthusiast or pleasure beach fan.

Do you have to visit the Tower first, then the other attractions within 90 days? Or can you start with any of the attractions? The Ultimate Ticket and Big Tickets | The Blackpool Tower

The q and a states...Do you have to visit the Tower first, then the other attractions within 90 days? Or can you start with any of the attractions?
All guests must pre-book into each attraction ahead of visiting, with visits subject to availability and opening times of each attraction. Please note, the date of your initial booking is only for the 1st attraction you visit. Please use our online booking portal to book any subsequent visits to the attractions listed. Your remaining tickets will be valid for 90 days from 1st visit date to visit the remaining attractions.
Which would imply you choose which one you want to do first.

Now the thing with that pass, it says entrance to pleasure beach. But remember they have the non rider entrance ticket. So does this pass include the ridesThe q and a states...

Was just looking at the rides and notice Grand National has a 1.4m height restriction, the highest in the park! Is that purely down to roughness?
As someone with a fairly low tolerance to rough coasters these days, is it probably not worth going to Blackpool? I'd like to go on Icon but if i'm then getting dragged on bruiser after bruiser with my son followed by a 4 hour drive home perhaps it's not worth it...

Nash used to have something like a 1.16m restriction up until about 7 or 8 years ago. Then it gradually went up. Probably because of the roughness but not really sure.
You won't have to worry about it till June though (probably late June), as it isn't open.
