Admittedly, that doesn't look the best, but from what I've seen of the rest of it, it looks lovely! Well done Merlin! Here's a POV of Tiger Rock that shows a nice little surprise inside the tunnel:
Am I the only one here who actually thinks it looks good, and that it looks to have had a lot of thought put into it?

I mean, how...
Why would you...
What possessed them to...
Whose idea...
I do not much care for this.

No I actually think all the other changes that have been made are much better than what was there before. But that dragon turned rock thing... what on earth were they thinking, I don't know.. they should have just left the dragon as it was. Would have saved them a bit of money as well!Am I the only one here who actually thinks it looks good, and that it looks to have had a lot of thought put into it?

From the pictures, I think it looks very mixed. The station is a fantastic transformation, very retro Chessington but a modern feel. The original station interior was never actually finished and ripe for the taking.
The area repaints with weird colours is at least a nice theme park feel, a clever way to spread a small budget and freshen the area.
Effect going back in the tunnel and the proper tunnel legnth restored apparently is fantastic, I've deliberaly not watched a video but I hope this means the rear end of Tomb is hidden again (which was appauling before when they halved the tunnel)
The dragon tunnel outside.... HAHAHAHA

Were the fences on the right side of the trough on the elevated sections added as part of the retheme or were they there last year? Either way the section over the roof has looked shoddy for ages but it seems they've managed to make it even uglier
I'm glad they haven't removed it as it's one of the only rides in the park that has decent capacity and log flumes are a dying breed in the UK. On the other hand much like Scorpion Express I get the impression that this retheme, whilst an improvement over how the ride looked immediately prior, is still some way below the standard it was at when it originally opened.

Land of the Tiger at Chessington is looking fantastic overall, yesterday I was invited to represent PBE at the media event and had a good look around the area, it has a 'Busch Gardens feel' about it in places;
I think the only two negatives to be taken from the day are; The dragon could have been replaced a bit better on the exterior (as seen in above images) and the car park at Chessington is a nightmare.

Right, okay the dragon is gone. I don't like the fact but, I can understand that a dragon doesn't mix with the whole tiger thing, fine. But what they have done here is not created a cave, but created a dragon that appears to have now been preserved under lava rock from Pompeii or something!I think this image pretty much sums it up......

I look at that and can still clearly see they've slapped some kind of render over the dragon instead of removing it. Sloppy!!

Did you not get complimentary parking at Lodge Gate?

The waterfall is there. It’s to the right of the drop as you look at it.Did the waterfalls from the rock feature in the concept art get cut or are they not finished?
You don’t have to have seen the dragon before to realise how hilariously bad this looks:Looks fun, admittedly the tunnel looks a bit ridiculous when compared directly with the dragon, but that's not what folks will be doing when they are riding.

Its doesn’t even look like rock work, just a grey splodge. It’s so funny
