Chessington World of Adventures Resort

Chessington have spent money poorly though when they have had it. Mandrill was an odd choice, the two supporting flats are absolute rubbish and Croc Drop is almost offensively bad.

Croc Drop is fine as a ride imo, it’s a good family drop tower with nice theming but the maintenance is atrocious and ops can be pretty bad.

In terms of throughput, I agree, but I enjoy Mandrill Mayhem and Croc Drop for what they are.

So Croc Drop is good despite it having poor capacity and keeps breaking?

If this is aimed at me, I was responding to the comment it was a poor purchase.

The ride itself is good, presumably it keeps breaking because of maintenance as I don’t recall Paultons version having such issues nor Adventure Islands?

The capacity isn’t great though I think it’s about the same as the ride it replaced but it’s exacerbated by the various Merlinisms.

A good ride becomes poor when not looked after or operated well.

Mandrill Mayhem throughput is mediocre. It's not that it's poorly operated, it just has low capacity by design.

It's also my least favourite coaster in the park due to poor pacing, uncomfortable bouncing of the wing seats and the extra nausea factor from going backwards.

Visually though it's poor. Rameses was built for the spectators. The way the que line hovered above and people could enjoy the sights of being eye level to the wetness.
Didn't rameses raised queue line have an incident where someone fell through a wooden board remember reading of some sort of accident on the bridges

Yes it was tombe blaster
I’d disagree there, I think Mandrill is one of the better designed rides in that regard with the way it circles the entire area and the inversion over the entrance.
Sorry Bowser I was on about Ramses over croc drop. The landscaping and area was built not just for the riders but for those off the ride. It was far more superior than ripsaw and even intoxicator.

In terms of the kid in the queline:

It think because it was wooden one piece had rotted if I recall correctly?

Been doing a build of Chessington on Parkitect and have been going through old pictures from the 1990's/early 00s for reference. Damn this park looked good back then.
