I have a cold

I hate colds, and I can't seem to find any decent cold relief stuff anywhere! Whether it's Lemsip or general cold and flu pills, they never seem to do anything at all. Does anyone know what the best relief for a cold is? Especially anything that soothes the blocked nose.

The only way to kill a cold is to boil it to death by raising your body temp. Shouldn't be to hard in this heat

On a side note, I hear that the latest threat to mankind is now "seal flu" ... *shakes head in dispair*

Night Nurse and Day Nurse work for me. Especially the liquid version which tastes disgusting, but seems to get the job done. First time I used it it gave me a fever and sent my pulse racing, but it does seem to work.

But then again, that was back in August/September and I still have the blocked nose I had. Probably should see a doctor about that...

That's gotta be the most adorable illness I've ever heard of. I'd much rather have seal flu than swine flu

Stick to soup, cheese on toast, and cups of tea, and you'll be fine in a few days. Intentionally raising your body temperature will just make you feel more ill! Night Nurse is an utter savior too, get dosed up on that at night!

Honey with lemon juice works. Squash a lemon straight into a cup and 2 or 3 spoons of. Then, with a spoon, drink. Its disgusting, but it works.

Its great if you dont like any real medicines or pills!

Try blackcurrant squash but make it with boiling water. Inhale the steam to decongest your airways and then, when cool enough, chug it!
