Controversial Alton Towers Opinions

There are many coasters that share names, I guess!

I believe Boulder Dash is also a children's spinning ride at Paultons, come to think of it...

This idea's great it doesn't really matter that it shares a name as there's plenty of coaster that share a name. I think it could have fit in with UG land very well. I also think Thirteen could have easily been themed in if they had still added it. Anyway what's done is done.
 
They should have built Spinball in Ug Land with a better layout and landscaping IMO.

Rita wasn't great in that area to begin with, it's absolutely atrocious now with all the scaffolding under the launch.
 
I think I might get shot for this one but... Nemesis is starting to show its age.
Felt very rough today and I actually felt a bit queasy after riding.

Same xD I thought it was just me getting old but =P
 
I mean, me getting old could be a contributing factor lol, but it was the only ride I felt really gave me a beating.
 
Yeah I'm hyper aware of G's these days, I can feel my organs moving around. Grim. xD.

I actually agree with this. If the layout was on it own in a field it would be mediocre at best, but with all the theming and effects it is 10x better and one fantastic package. Plus the themed technical issue, testing and recommencement announcements (that I heard for the first time last week) are really cool. For me, Nemesis is the best layout at Towers, but Wicker Man is the best overall experience/package. :)

I don't think that's really controversial. It's a great experience and it is really well done. They really did think about (almost) everything and the layout is pretty solid too. Especially in late afternoon when its running absolutely crazy!
 
I was going to post this in the related coaster’s general discussion thread but after thinking about it, it’s a highly controversial opinion ;)

Nemesis doesn’t do anything for me any more.

On Saturday and just taking the coasters into account, I rode Galactica (which in the dark is great!), Oblivion, Wickerman and Nemesis.

On that day, Nemesis was the weakest ride.

Beat me up then.

I was only joking mate, we're all entitled to our own opinion and I respect it!
Try Nemesis on the back row next year, and you might like it more. :):)
 
Regardless to how much someone can dislike nemesis, it'll always be the better coaster in FV bcus Galactica is so meh
