Corkscrew Memories

    I can't remember if my first 'upside down' coaster was Nemesis or Corkscrew (in 1999) which just makes me feel old compared to some of the responses on this thread :p

    I remember wishing it would go faster! I never got that sense of speed on it.
    My dad really liked it though.

    Epic airtime at the back down the first drop. It was a true hardcore coaster only enjoyed by those who appreciated its raw excitement.

    Corkscrew was my first coaster and it's great to see how many others have the same place in their hearts for Corky. You never forget your first.

    I remember her being rough, as if anybody remembers anything else, and the noise of the lift-hill. I also remember how amazing the countryside looked from the lift-hill since there was nothing in the way to the left of it.

    Needless to say when I see the corkscrews at the entrance, I have to think happy thoughts...
