It's not customer details at least. It however sounds as it does expose plans and details on ride and evacuation procedures that could be used by molevalant parties if a big security issue occurred.

Hackers were simply trying to find out if there were any plans at all for a new attraction as Disneyland Park. They were no doubt left bitterly disappointed.

Biggest problem I had with that one up there is that they hacked on the suspicion that AI was used, and probably compromised information that will harm a lot of people that work there, maybe even creatives - but, not relevant tangent over.

As much as I don’t particularly like the classic old Disney business practices, this is a bit of a low blow - they are allowed to have their design documents, even if I’m a little tempted to have a dig through…

Patience is a virtue.
We’ll find out… eventually, considering it is Disney we’re talking about.

Aaand predictably no mention of scrapping the overlay... yet...

Please just ditch the Star Ways overlay now, please! This is surely the right moment to do so, and it will have very little commercial impact on the park now, surely!?

The frustrating thing is, it wouldn't even take much to restore the original theme.

Just bring back the on-ride and area music. Add the moon on the second lift. Ditch the star projections. Reinstall a few simple props inside the mountain. Open up the side of the indoor queue...

Make those pretty basic changes, and you're virtually there.

Right now, the ride is having an identity crisis, and even non-enthusiast guests are picking up on it. Not a good look.

I think (or read somewhere) that most of the original theming elements still exist today, just covered up by the overlay.

Even if they updated the old Jules Verne theme just so it for crying out loud.

Always been a mixture on this one. No idea about currently though.

When we visited in March none of this was happening (I don’t know what’s supposed to be happening).

According to the video posted above new effects will be in place.

I believe the physical recoil effect was disabled/removed during the Mission 2 refurbishment due to technical issues.

That's a shame, it looked really cool back in the day.



I'm always quite interested in effects lost to time/broken/turned off/removed. Any other notable ones in the park?
