Disneyland Paris: General Discussion

Does anyone have any guesses / speculation / info on when Frozen land may open next year? They are still only saying 2026 from what I can find, but surely they want to start selling lots of tickets for next year soon? I imagine there’s a lot of people holding off until there’s a date / month?

I can’t decide whether to miss it and go earlier in the year knowing it won’t be open but hope it’s a bit quieter, or hold out and embrace the madness.

We are going next August which I’m confident will be fine in terms of it being open.

I’ve seen rumours it’s pretty much ready and will soft open around January but no substance to them.

They sell enough tickets to probably not worry so much when it opens but a less busy period for any teething problems would make sense on the face of it.

Ratatouille will be closed for 6 months for a major renovation:

"The teams are pulling out all the stops to brighten up and renew this iconic experience in Walt Disney Studios Park ," Disney said.

The focus is on technical upgrades and improvements to the sets, with new props and improved projections. The queue area will also receive significant attention, with a new scene being added. Visitors will soon walk through a Parisian artist's studio "full of details and accessories . "

Additional set pieces should "add more atmosphere to key scenes ." This will reinforce the feeling that guests have shrunk to the size of a rat. Existing video projectors will be replaced with new models. The images will remain fully two-dimensional , following a successful test in the spring of 2024.

Ouch to have 2 of the big dark rides (Ratatouille & Buzz) closed throughout much of winter

Not great but pretty much every ride is indoors at both parks so the seasonal impact is low. They seem to often have a couple of big attractions under scheduled maintenance, nature of the beast with a 365 park open 12+ hours a day.

Maybe Frozen will open early!

This is the weirdest news.

I rode it for the first time a few weeks back, still seemed quite fresh to me. Of all the issues the resort has this didn't feel like the the thing that needed money spent on it, especially not on a way that seems to be be a downgrade?

Meanwhile in the main park you have Indiana Jones looking like something from Chessington, the Starwars overlay of Space Mountain begging to be removed, Philharmagic offering a fraction of the experience of the American version including preshow screens with the old MJ logo still burnt into them. Really odd spending decision.

The ratatouille refurb is part of a plan to refurbish all the "classic" soon to be Disney Adventure world attractions to improve them in preparation for Frozen/ Lion king, Crush's Coaster will be the next one to be refurbished with Tower of Terror getting a mostly technical / mechanical refurbishment after that too.

To be honest the only thing Ratatouille can and should be invested in is the mechanics and technical side to improve reliability! The attraction is one of the strongest points of Studios park

The rat mobiles are being reprogrammed as well as well as improving the screens, in recent years the rat mobile movements have lost sync with the video projections
