Doctor who it struggling publicly now. Moffat era was there for too long. Stories declined under smith, capaldi was under used (except for his lat year ) he kept Clara on way too long, to the point her character kept changing.

THe Whitaker chibwell part, never got going due to COVID and what looked like the BBC not paying enough and asking to much.

It's been better last 2 series. But this run is now 20 years old. Hard for any TV show to keep interest that long. The original run lasted 25 years and I think the vast majority of people were glad it finished.

This could be it. Unless some new blood can come in and just get back to how it was Ecclestone, Tennant and early smith.

Another nail for public perception would have been the push for the Eurovision episode that turned out to be utter ****. Just wanted it to end it was that bad.

If he wants to do it, getting a Dalek story for Ncuti Gatwa should be the first priority imo.
