Drayton Manor Park

I noticed also on the ticketing page that as well as offering free entry and wristbands for £30 they also still selling fast pass tickets:
Silver £24.90 which is valued on 3 rides and can’t be used on the Wave or Gold Rush
Gold £34.90 which is valued on 5 rides but again can’t be used on the wave or Gold Rush
And I noticed they now how a Platinum pass which allows you to ride every ride unlimited all day long for £99.99
Now theses wasn’t available back in the day but neither was Easy Access pass but there would be a major lawsuit if they removed that 1.

There’s more tickets available for today after many didn’t turn up yesterday. I think when they originally ordered the tickets they thought great it was free and then they announced it was sold out they decided not to go as it would be a waste of £30 to spend all day queuing nearly a hour each per ride and maybe longer for Gold Rush and the Wave.

Here today, Gold Rush is closed and the staff member doesn’t know if/when it will be opening. Currently queuing for Sheriff Showdown, short queue but it’s only running 3 carriages so it’s very slow moving. Wave also not open yet.

Wanted to come yesterday but it was sold out, so I bought tickets for today, about an hour after that they announced more tickets for yesterday. Bit annoying but I actually paid slightly less to come today instead so not all bad.

Not a great start so far, the main reason for coming was for Gold Rush and The Wave. So hopefully they open soon.

Slow start but stuff is opening Wild West Shootout needs an overhaul once StormForce 10 is complete

Operations have generally been shocking today. Wave swinger has just done three cycles in 40minutes, fair enough the ride op was running it alone but he showed no sense of urgency meandering around the ride checking restraints at snails pace. Spent longer sat on the ride waiting for it to start than actually riding the thing. Just painfully slow and very annoying.

Yeah Operarions have been bad not bad on all Maelstrom is relatively quick as are some of the Thomas Land Rides and River Rapids

They need to sort ops out they are aware it is a problem in particular with the Wave but they are coming up with solution for that problem

Yeah definitely something that needs addressing. I found operations on accelerator and river rapids to be okay, so it wasn’t all bad. But when it was bad, it was really bad. Drunken Barrels was another one with terrible ops.

Gold Rush and Jormungander didn’t open today. But at least The Wave did. I am slightly disappointed with my visit today I must admit, I was really looking forward to going on Gold Rush finally. But I guess it can’t be helped that it stalled.

I also found all the 75 year merch to be way overpriced. Expected it to be a bit more expensive than the normal DM merch, but some stuff was almost double the price of the non-75 year equivalent. And the merch isn’t really anything to shout about in the first place, so I bought nothing.

Wasn’t today one of the pay per ride days, if I’m not mistaken?

I’d have thought that they’d be throttling the ops, with this in mind, as faster ops make more money!

Stalls can happen to any coaster. Jormumgdr was closed because of Gold Rush

I did say it can’t be helped that it stalled.

On the April event calendar it showed Today as a 9pm close which i thought was strange they changed it to a normal close.
It was advertised as 5pm close at the park and when I checked the other day on the website it said 5pm, so that’s weird.

My deepest sympathies are with you, I do hope you managed to make the best of the day, but one question remains... Just how many laps did you do of the UK's best Gerstlauer?

I'm sure they could have got The Wave to at least 300 pph.
