So I've been pretty glued to the conferences this year watching them via YouTube and oh boy there are some decent looking games coming out.

Obviously you have to take E3 with a pinch of salt (more like a handful) but CD Projeckt Red and Square Enix are leagues ahead with the reveal and actual gameplay of Cyberpunk2077 and Final Fantasy 7 remake.

Epic fails yet again by EA and Bethesda.

Anyone else been watching them or pretty hyped for any upcoming games?

Why is it that game devs insist on making games revolving around English locations have characters with the thickest, heaviest cockney accents as possible? Looking at you, Watch Dogs...

That said, I am looking forward to it!

More recognisable (and potentially intelligible) than Scouse or Mancunian I'd guess. :p

This sold it for me. I've waited a long time for this. From what I've read it looks to be a fully featured and fleshed out flight sim too. Man! It looks amazing... Did you see this @DiogoJ42

As I said in the shoutbox, I shall refuse to care until more information is available. Unless it is a fully mod-able, proper "buy a disk and OWN the software" game, that can interface with multiple 3rd party apps, then it will tank with hardcore FS geeks. So far all I have seen is pretty graphics. When it comes to flight sim, the graphics is the least important part. It's all about the avionics and systems simulation.

I'm not an expert on the game but I would have thought it'd been easy just to create some skies and airports/airfields :p

Old versions of FS had an SDK to allow third parties to add their own stuff. Given the current "locked down system" world we live in, that seems unlikely.

I look forward to being proved wrong.

This is a very good point actually. While I have no doubt the avionics and simulation are going to be good. The issue with 3rd party add ons and apps lingers massively.

Remeber Microsoft Flight? That was Microsofts attempt to cash in on the 3rd party addon market and drive everything through their own store, so they could get a piece of the pie. It failed massively but that was a long time ago.

However, if they attempted it then, there is no reason why they won't again. As it is clear they have wanted to cash in on the 3rd party addon market. With this coming to the Xbox too, I believe they will drive traffic through the store.

What this means for the PC version though, currently is unknown. As the 3rd party market is huge and such a a great benefit to enhance the experience. I hope they don't exclude this totally and drive everything through their own store, but given Microsofts recent history this seems unlikely.

That said, Microsoft once again are serious about gaming on PC, after loosing their way for a while. If they truly are serious they need to understand what the 3rd party market means for a sim like this.

On a side note, did you notice in the video all the aircraft had the names of AS-MSGS. That is strongly assumed to stand for Aerosoft - Microsoft game studios. I will be watching this closely that's for sure. For good or worse.

While we are on the subject of E3. Cyberpunk 2077 has to be the most anticipated game for me. The studios last game, The Witcher 3, was amazing! So the benchmark is set high, the videos they have shown of gameplay do look amazing.

Some further info on the so-called "flight simulator":
All but confirmed that it will need a monthly subscription, be on xbone or Winderrz 10 only, and not support any of the essential 3rd party software that people like me rely on to make all our crazy hardware work.

So as I feared, it's nothing but an arcade game with pretty graphics.

A little late to this, but Nintendo were once again the only ones worth watching.

Shame, I might have considered it if it was modable and had the Max 8 in.
