Early closing last August

Hi everyone

I was at AT last year on 12 Aug, when the park closed in the morning when the water supply failed. At the time, we were promised free entry on another day, but it's not completely clear how that works! I've been in touch with the official twitter account, who referred us to the short break booking people (we'd booked our park tickets along with a Woodland Lodge stay), and they referred us back to the park admissions people via a telephone number that doesn't seem to get answered... yay.

So, I'm wondering if anyone knows how to claim the free entry? Has it been working smoothly, or are we likely to run into trouble? We're looking at booking two days, an extra day would only cost a tenner extra each, so clearly that's all we're really going to end up saving if we get the replacement free day. If I'm unable to claim the free day, is there an option to get a discounted entry for the next day when we're there? I have a faint recollection of that being offered, but can't remember the details.

Thanks for any insight you're able to offer!

Cheers

Thanks for the reply @jon81uk . I'll drop them an email, but as we're planning to visit next week, it might not work.
Any thoughts on getting a cheap ticket for the day after when we're at the park, in case the replacement free day doesnt' work out?

By the way, I found this webpage:
https://www.altontowers.com/plan-yo...gust-2020-how-do-i-get-my-tickets-revalidated

Which suggests I can go and see the admissions team. No mention of expiry date, or different procedures for short break guests, but there you go...

Thanks again
Charlie

Im pretty sure the short break bookings are handled by an external company. Try in the first instance contacting the email address mentioned above by Jon you can also try
[email protected]

That gets you too the Merlin product excellence team so they might have some more sway.
