I wanted to thank everyone again for your help. We did end up hiring a car so drove around to the pool one night and despite having to wear armbands for the fire time ever (I normally just hold her
) she had a great time.
Loved our first visit to the park too.

Great to see
I thought a few years ago Alton may be leaning in to this “universe” creation with the TCAAM, Nemesis Reborn, Compound, Phalanx Fireworks and the Characters but appears to have stalled slightly recently.
Hopefully they get back to it ASAP as it’s a strong concept for them much like Efteling, it works really well when done right.

Is Efteling typically busy in the Halloween half term? Presumably they're unlikely to schedule ride maintenance for that period?
We are booked to go last week of August which we've done previously as it's quieter with many of the Dutch schools being back. However i've had something come up with work so wonder if this is a viable alternative? They don't seem to do anything specifically Halloween based so is it more like Phantasialand in that regard (which was relatively quiet for that period this year).

Pricing up a family trip in August. Thinking of staying offsite in the opposite village. 2 full days in park. Then stay in Amsterdam, do a day in city and day in Walibi. Or would sacking off the Amsterdam/Walibi be better? Torn as to whether this park offers enough in the ride line up or the full package (like Europa Park/DLP) where it's just better to chill and take it all in?

It is a wonderful park to just take your time and mooch around in, but for me 2 to 3 days is adequate to do everything.Pricing up a family trip in August. We did three and a bit days at Efteling last summer, stayed in the Wonder Hotel. It was amazing. We got to do everything we wanted in that time, obviously, but many attractions there are worth doing again and again. It’s a fabulous park.Pricing up a family trip in August. Agree with everyone’s comment, we’ll be doing our third 3 day trip this year (though day 1 and 3 include arriving and leaving). Still haven’t seen everything!
It’s a big park to walk around and also nice to take your time with. You can spend half a day in the fairytale forest alone.
Depending when you’re going in August it will also be relatively busy so you’d definitely need 2 days.

Here’s a slightly off the wall suggestion, and it only works if you’re driving.
Early last summer we spent 3 nights (2full days) at the Wonder Hotel, then set off to spend the rest of the holiday in the North of the Netherlands (sadly bypassing Walabi- my wife only has so much patience for theme parks
). En route, we spent a few hours at the Netherlands Outdoor Museum near Arnhem:

It was superb and we had a great time. I’m familiar with similar types of attraction in the UK (such as Beamish), but this was really a step up in quality.

After not having a return flight to Manchester, moved dates and found 4 nights enables us to just go in and out of Eindhoven.. Ended up doing 4 nights at Wonder hotel in August. We'll try and do everything, and re-rides etc.. Booked the Caro theatre show too.
