To be honest the headrests are a little excessive on DVH so maybe if they do roll it out they can adjust the design slightly.

They do certainly seem to be a major throughput / efficiency push lately with the added capacity to Gondolettas new boats, Python's third train and now this!

The seating arrangement is also one of the reasons their RAP only allows max 2 accompanied on Dutchman.

All for pushing an improvement on throughputs. Though the single rider was very useful when I rode it over Christmas.

Baron closed unexpectedly last week and is now scheduled to be closed for at least another week. The problem seems to be with one of the foundations on a support pillar!

Efteling have submitted plans for the previously announced new thrill attraction next to the "former" (for now) Ravelejin site.

Wow that's an incredibly long time for Efteling to close an attraction. Their regular maintenance is always planned in well in advance and almost without fail completed on schedule. There must be something seriously wrong with it.

I can imagine that there is an issue with Baron and there is no fixed re-opening date as of current.

I am lucky I've done Baron a couple of weeks ago however I'd definitely say it's reopening is something that will happen as soon as it's fixed and tested (it's possibly going to be even sooner than the date as it's subject to change).

Especially if they're looking to open the Zierer Family Drop Towers at the start of May.

Well that will be disappointing if it's closed whilst visiting. Though weirdly stating the 28th when that's a Thursday is a choice.

I'd definitely say it's reopening is something that will happen as soon as it's fixed and tested (it's possibly going to be even sooner than the date as it's subject to change).

Especially if they're looking to open the Zierer Family Drop Towers at the start of May.

The fact they’ve pushed back the date multiple times in quick succession suggests it’s a considerable issue.

If anything i think it’s possible they will delay the drop towers opening.

Yes exactly, an issue where it's not clear when it'll open at all and they're offering the safest date possible to avoid disappointing guests. If it opens earlier, that's good but it's safer to state a later date where they could open it sooner if all goes well than to promise a date they can't fulfill. I'm surprised though they won't say it's indefinite but it might be something Efteling won't do.

It's definitely a considerable issue that isn't quick to fix

I'm hoping they will delay the drop towers opening so they open when Baron is open. It might offer them an opportunity to do a grand opening/reopening event for the rides.

I’m due to take my family to Efteling on the first weekend of June so here’s hoping for a resolution by then - at least they’ve been transparent about the potential length of the closure and aren’t repeatedly extending it week by week.

Here. Weirdly I’ve just realised Baron appears twice, once with end of April, the other with late May.
