Efteling to build a second gate?

Spotted by peep on CF.

Efteling are reported to be in the process of consulting with the local community on a new expansion to the park.

As you can see from that photo, it effectively doubles the size of the park.

Due to the size of the existing park, I think we can rule out them simply expanding it. This is clearly either a second park, or some sort of resort complex.

Apparently they want to double visitor numbers by 2025.

Oh Efteling <3

I'm really not sure which way they'll go with a second gate, as the whole charm of the place is how 'efteling' it is. I can't think of a theme for the second park which would be different enough to warrant a visit, but 'efteling' enough to not stick out like a sore thumb and ruin the place. If anything, I can imagine a waterpark will work best?

This all sounds so similar to Phantasialand's current expansion plans.
