Energylandia Travel Tips

Hi all!

I'm sorry to start an entire thread just for this, but I'm struggling to find a good answer elsewhere.

I'm planning on visiting Energylandia just before Christmas, got my flights and accommodation booked. I'm flying into Krakow on the Friday and coming back on the Sunday. I am probably going to get an Uber from the airport to Zator. Getting an Uber from the airport is going to be simple, of course. However, I am a little worried about getting back to the airport on the Sunday, as it looks like Ubers are a bit scarce in Zator itself.

Does anyone have any advice, or have any experience with local taxi services. It would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Train from Airport to Krakow Glowny (central station) then there to Zator is extremely easy, and about £3.50 when I went in January, would recommend more so than Uber/taxi

When I went a couple of years ago I got an Uber from Zator straight back to the Airport no problem and that was on a Sunday morning.

If you want to have a look around Krakow (which is highly recommended, the old town square the cathedral on Wavel hill are both stunning) then it’s super easy, as stated above the train between the main station Krakow Glowny and the Airport’s train station is cheap and only takes 20 minutes for the journey.

They run a bus to and from the park (you book it via the park website), it drops at the main bus station in krakow. I find the easiest way is to take a train from zator into krakow and then on to the airport.

Should be OK getting an Uber at park close but they were non existent on saturday at around 3pm. Would definitely recommend getting the train instead.

If you are planning to stay until park close, the direct bus Energylandia run to krakow glowny is the easiest option as it will pick you up directly outside so you won’t have to carry bags long distances. You can just book a random outbound leg from krakow that you won’t use.

Otherwise take the train to glowny. Zator Park station is closer than Zator but note that you will need to walk along grass for a bit alongside the park.

From glowny take the train to the airport. There are ticket machines on the trains themselves and the conductors will also sell you tickets.
