Favourite weird websites.
Loved it all so far, but there seems to be a dark, deep bias around here.
Anyone got any fave pink, fluffy white hat sites to throw at us, for a bit of balance.
Bet I have nightmares tonight after viewing that capital punishment site.
...and I didn't know they cut your bits off during hang, draw quartering.
Missed that out of the o level history books didn't they!

I've struck gold, people!
https://www.damninteresting.com/
Only read a couple of articles so far, but it's clearly the kind of site that could keep my insomnia entertaining for quite some time.
For example, "The Wrath of the Killdozer", is the the tale of a guy so ****** off with local planning restrictions and a corrupt mayor, that he converted a bulldozer in to a home made tank and went on a rampage, tearing down the property of those who had wronged him. The best part? No one was actually harmed!
Some nice long reads on there by the look of it. I can see this filling many of my spare hours.

So, I'm not sure if this counts as a weird website or not, buuuut...
A couple of days ago, while repeatedly hitting "random" on TV Tropes, I stumbled upon a webcomic that sounded so ****** up that I simply HAD TO investigate further. Over the past couple of days I've read the whole back catalogue.
How can I sum this up without giving too many spoilers?
For a start, it is apparently a spin-off from a spin-off from another webcomic. Great, never mind, not read them.
The basic plot is that a teenage lad accidently summons a succubus from hell. Once she realises he doesn't want to screw her, they strike up a rather crazy "friendship".
The main characters are the aforementioned lad, his kid sister, the titular succubus, her fellow succubus BFF, then a whole random assortment of other demons, angels, other pupils at their school, even a freakin' grim reaper.
As for plot, well, tbh it starts out pretty weak. But as it goes on, an ever increasing ammount of hardships and **** keep getting dumped on the lad who summoned her.
It should go without saying that this is VERY NOT SAFE FOR WORK.
...Though having said that, the artist goes out of her way to NOT show any naughty bits, which given the ammount of sex and nudity involved, is actually rather daft. It also suffers from that strange Americanism of "must avoid using any remotely naughty words at all costs!" Again, jarring, given the subject matter.
I also find it rather odd that the art style is very anime inspired, given the American setting. But then, I'm not a fan of anime.
Yet despite all that, I still enjoyed reading it. Probably not your kinda thing, but it killed a couple of days for me. It's not finished yet, but it does feel like the plot is starting to wrap up to a logical conclusion. (Or to put it another way, surely they can't spin this out for much longer?)
Anyway, Here is a link to the first strip of "Dangerously Chloe".

Closed season bump.
I'm about to go on my routine digitox, perfect timing...election, brexit, Trump visit, Christmastime etc.
Nothing more than tv, landline and the good old wireless for a few weeks.
FM only of course.
Would be nice to find some nice new weird websites waiting for me on my return.
Anyone got a nice new off the beaten track site?
The sabre site has been a recent favourite of mine, and atlas obscura.
No photographic filth, I'm too old.
Kind regards...please and thank you.

Enjoy your Brexile Rob!
Cracked has a few good articles dependent on the author. If you hit the main page you'll have to wade through some ****.

Wiki's conspiracies list is worth a laugh but beware of that rabbit hole.

@rob666 I stumbled across a website based that may appeal to you.
http://www.anomalies-unlimited.com/ - Ignore the bad 90's web design there's some great stories in here. Just make sure you have your tin foil hat on

http://www.anomalies-unlimited.com/Disney.html
http://www.anomalies-unlimited.com/Disney/Disney101.html
Fair warning though, there's probably some NSFW content in the site somewhere.

Oh my Wardley, I've not seen a website like that since I was sat at a brand new Power Mac in my school library, investigating this newfangled "information super highway"!
That looks like an insomnia / nostalgia gold mine. I, for one, cannot wait to find out who killed Kurt Cobain.

Haha, you know you'll confuse the yoof by mentioning that you did not have a 56k+ internet in your own home
I found it on a subreddit that was discussing webpages famous for their bad page design. I also found this time sink whilst trying to find where I got the page from https://www.reddit.com/r/AnomaliesUnleashed/
I apologise for fueling your insomnia and increased caffeine consumption as a result of providing these pages Diogo!
