I see the two work mates (health and safety) have done their job on RMT and made the lap bars lock lower down.

I rode it Sunday and never noticed any difference from last year.

We noticed the lap bars locking lower on RMT also, however it did not appear to be on all of the rows. Someone from park ops was also on the platform checking things to do with the restraints.

Front row now locks very tight

I was resting my foot on the cut out on the front row (so one of my my knees was higher than the other one) and the lap bar was very painful on my leg, also don't forget everyone is a different size and shape therefore the lap bars my not be able to go another click on everyone.
