First Alton Towers Ride?

Must have been squirrel nutty but I cannot rember, I do have many memories of riding the flume from a very young age though, the first I can rember anyways!
I've already posted this else where,
The flume was my very first ride of my very first visit to Alton Towers (29/09/87) the date can be clearly seen on the board in the photo. Back then, you were given a ticket, you ordered your photo, and then you had to wait for it to arrive in the post. You don't get to preview the photo back then, so when they arrive though the letterbox, that is the very first time you get to view the photo
and another memory of another favourite from that very first visit back in 1987

First Alton Towers ride? Hex, I didn't want to go on at first but after being forced on I enjoyed it and always have since.
In fact I had the same reaction when I heard the ride would be closing for 2016 as when I first went through the Towers for the first time!

No idea for me!
However my first visit must have been early 90s. There is an onride photo of me on the haunted house in 1992. So any rides that were on park in 1992 could have been my first. And I also have memories of around the world in 80 days.

I can remember doing Toyland Tours and Riverbank eye spy back in 1994. But I would have been 12 so I was probably a bit bored on them. At the time though I was too scared to do the Corkscrew. Oh and I remember watching Peter Rabbit on Ice!! Did Drayton Manor a lot more as a kid, we loved the rapids at DM and the Pirate ride.
As an adult in 2001 I did Corkscrew first, decided it wasn't that scary and went on to do Nemesis. I must have seriously got over my fears as we went back in the rain for Air on opening day 2002.
