Food & Beverage: The Aramark Era begins

It actually amazes me that there are enough people who pay these kinds of prices to keep these establishments open and viable. Unless you're absolutely loaded your money management has to be really poor to pay these amounts. I'll be taking my own food as usual. I don't care if it's a captive audience or a once a year treat, it's outrageous pricing and I would never pay it out of principle.

What’s funny about this is that somebody in the comments on X has called out they were actually higher last year, and he reported on that in his food vlog!

They have removed the cheaper classic hot dog as an option, which is unfortunate as many won’t want a footlong, but it’s good if they’ve brought the prices down.

I don’t know if Shawn has forgotten about the higher prices from last year, but it does seem odd for him to make a big deal about hot dogs breaking £10 when the footlongs were £14.50 last year if not…

I think there is/was some confusion between the very expensive hot dogs that were at Wicker Man, i think 'Hot Dog Man' or similar brand, and the standard expensive enough Rollover ones at the counter near the courtyard. they were 2 different products

I’m not sure; they both appear to be 851-calorie footlong hot dogs, yet 2026’s is £4 less than 2025’s!

I'd argue it's rather in character. He makes a big deal out F&B prices every year at Alton Towers, and with over a decade's worth of audience analytics he's extremely aware of the sort of content that drives traffic and engagement.

Presuming that food prices go up every year, but not being bothered to do a cursory fact check, would appear to be pretty ordinary.

I am curious to learn the pricing of food and beverages throughout the rest of the resort, for this season. One could assume that if there were large increases across the board that they would also have been highlighted, but seemingly not. I guess we'll find out eventually.

Queues at Legoland today were the longest i've ever seen for food.

I can only assume for 2026 the quality and variety now mirrors that of Tokyo Disney Sea to warrant such lines.

Unless it has Disney Sea prices. The Legoland restaurants would be popular at the price you pay for food at Disney Sea food. It is insanely cheap for the quality you get due to exchange rate.
