My last tour involved my second visit to Alton Towers and my first time to Energylandia. So my first flight destination was Manchester, then a flight to Krakow and back to Germany with trains. For Towers I stayed again at the Chained Oak.
Alton Towers
I chose a two day ticket again. The first day I started at Dark forest with Thirteen. Rita was closed both days. I was not that sad about it, but I don‘t think it‘s a bad ride don‘t get me wrong. After Thirteen I wanted to take the skyride to Forbidden Valley but the skyride wasn‘t open yet. So a walk to X sector. Got a couple of rides of Oblivion and Smiler. Oblivion‘s drop was way more intense than in my memory. Doing Smiler‘s single rider I only got last row in all of my rides that day. Only next day I got like second and first row once.
Next was Wickerman and the aquarium (I skipped it last time). After this I took the skyride to Forbidden Valley and I got a pretty nice shot of a cycling train on Wickerman while I hovered past it.
My main motivation for AT visiting was Nemesis (and riding Smiler again). The area looks so good. I loved the decorations especially the moving Nemesis eye. The ride itself was also very good. And more intense than Black Mamba (the other B&M I know). But also a bit more shaky but not in a bad shape. The other attraction I did which wasn‘t open on my last visit was Subterror. It was okay. I just wish it had more scares and actors. Speaking of actors. I was hoping for roaming Phanlanx actors but I didn‘t encounter any. I had my ride on Toxicator the next day which was a huge deal for me. This type of ride was too scary for me for a long time. Just this winter I had the guts to ride a very small one on a local fair. I also did only one ride on Toxicator.
The rest of the day I roamed around doing other stuff for example Alton Manor, Spinball and rerides. The crowd level was okay. Just Galactica have had a 40 min wait time at one point.
The next day I went to Forbidden valley first. The rest of the day was similiar to the day before. Walking around and doing rides. Just one time around 2 or 3 PM I was standing in line for Wickerman it started to rain. After it stopped they anounced all outside rides were closed because of some thunder clouds nearby. Which was understandable, but the wait was longer than expected. Me and the other people in line were sitting in the blazing sun. Just as I decided to leave the queue to do Hex I heard the chain lift starting again. That was just an anecdote I wanted to share.
Another little observation: They sell a skyride pin. Who has a desire to buy a skyride pin?
I purchased a Nemesis pin and little bag, Smiler keyring, the John Wadley book and an AT towel.
Coaster count (both days):
Wickerman 4x
Smiler 7x
Oblivion 3x
Nemesis 3x
Galactica 2x
Thirteen 2x
Spinball 1x
Run Away Mine Train 1x
Ranking:

I used the Krakow shuttle bus which was got recommended to me. After arriving at the entrance I saw many many groups of school kids and teenagers. I honestly got scared, but after the park officially opened the crowd spread out and it went pretty okay. My longest wait was about 20 minutes that day. Doing a bit of research beforehand I walked straight to Zadra.
Zadra is my first RMC. Positive observations: It was super smooth! Like new Vekoma smooth. The first drop was pretty scary and after that the train flew through the layout. The restrains are strange but I liked it. Not so really negative but an observation: Why is the queueline so freaking long and wide open?! Whoever designed this I hope they step on a Lego.
Next coaster was Abyssus after I finally found the entrance. I really really enjoyed this ride! I liked every element and it was a long ride. After you think you‘re done the next curve it kept going.
My next destinations were Choco Chip, Formula and Mayan. Choco Chip was quite nice. Formula is ¼ Abyssus. That was also fun. Mayan was the first SLC I rode with the newer designed restrains. That helped a lot but it was still shaky sadly. The Dragon suspended coaster is also a ride I liked more than expected. I didn‘t mention it yet, but I loved the locker system in the park. Very helpful for rides like Speed.
I arrived at the front area again and Hyperion was next. This ride has the same queue problems like Zadra. But this time it had more stairs. I also hated the section with the gates. There was no queue etiquette. The ride itself was enjoyable. My last B&M hyper was Silver Star and that one has only up and downs and up and downs while Hyperion has got more different elements. I kinda wanted to ride again, but I was put off by the queue.
I walked to the back again and tried the weird little Top Spin. I don‘t know what was scarier. That one or Toxicator. It got some weird moves at the end.
It slowly startet to rain. As I got in the queue for Abyssus it was a full rain shower. I got my umbrella and raincoat but that didn‘t helped on the ride itself. I got sorted in the first row and it was kind of brutal. The rain was needles in my face and I got more wet than the water coaster. The other times were I rode something in the rain was Taron and Silver Star.
After this special experience I took cover in a restaurant near Abyssus. It was 4 PM already and stayed in it for about 30 minutes. It was still raining when I left but less and I walked to the ferris wheel. After finishing with this one it was just a drizzle left. The last hour I did some re-rides for example Zadra.
The bus ride back to Krakow was convenient again.
