Kynren and The Storied Lands due in 2026

A random collection of updates:
1) It was reported in the local press a few weeks ago that a former abandoned care home in the centre of Bishop Auckland is being converted into accommodation exclusively for Kynren staff (https://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/n...bishop-auckland-care-home-kynren-staff-house/). The property is very close to the Kynren site and has 13 ensuite rooms.
2) Images were shared on Kynren social media of some of the backdrops for the new Legend of the Wear show, which are thatched

3) They also shared on social media that the wood for the Nest effect of the Lost Feather Arena has arrived

4) There was an announcement on Social Media today that the main Kynren arena, where the current Night Show takes place, and also where the daytime horse show will take place, is receving addition 'VIP' seating, which has increased size and padding, compared to the normal hard plastic seats.
5) The website descriptions about the new park have changed slightly - Fina is now The Trusty Steed - it still appears to be a horse show, still following a young woman as the main character. The Victorian Adventure is now described as the Victorian Imaginarium, 'a Victorian library where imagination has escaped from the pages. As you wander through an outdoor storytelling maze, you’ll encounter curious characters, inventive minds and theatrical surprises inspired by the wonder and creativity of the Victorian age.' This was originally expected to be the attaction untilising the Flambards sets - the new wording potentially suggests they have faced a delay in getting the Flambards sets and they won't be in place for this year, with this rendition of the attraction being outdoors?

Overall, it seems that things are still on track to open a Phase 1 offering this summer! Very much looking forward to visiting - if these new shows are anything like what they currently offer then they will be amazing!

Another little round-up of updates:
1. Per the new leaflet being distributed locally, The Storied Lands will open on Saturday, 18th July! The season will run until Saturday, 12th September, with the park being open Tuesday through Sunday. That means a total season length of 49 operational days for the first season.
2. Kynren - an Epic Tale of England, the existing night show has had two additional Friday night shows added on Friday 21st August and Friday 4th September. This is in addition to running every Saturday night and marks the first Friday shows since 2018. They have been slowly re-adding shows back from the low of 6 in 2021 to 11 planned for this season. In 2017/2018 there were 17 shows a season, although Kynren has reported that 2024 ticket sales were stronger than 2017/2018, potentially indicating the shows were not that busy in the past, but now demand is at such a level that additional capacity needs to be added, which is a very positive sign.
3. A new dining experience, exclusive to Epic Tale of England Show Nights, known as the time travellers' feast, is being added. https://kynren.com/time-travellers-feast/
