Darn someone beat me to it by posting the screen grab, but I had a drive down to the park an hour ago and found it 1/3 removed
All signage for the ride has been removed and some sections of track have been removed
But... we have donkey kong at home
Someone go call squirrel nutty and warn her
More photos if anyone likes looking at metal

I'm not so sure actually - Chessington seems to have included a monorail as one of the potential attractions for Project Play with an image of Get Set Go/Squirrel Nutty.Monorails seem to be disappearing from theme parks at the moment, both in the UK and overseas. I wouldn't be surprised if Towers' monorail is next.

Mexicana is another developed area located in the central core of the Resort that is also in need of investment and a ‘refresh’. The proposal is to create a new themed land.

They finally turned it off
When did it last operate? I've got a feeling it's been SBNO for a while but tbh I've never really paid it any attention so it might have been open on my most recent visit and I wouldn't have noticed
It was definitely open in the summer but it's certainly been closed more than it has been open.
They've been quick on that though, i was there last Sunday and there was no sign of that happening.
I wonder if they do have anything new planned for 2025? The Submarine ride is due to reopen which is something but again with that they're really mirroring AT with the lengthy ride closures.

Bloody b@$t@rds I used to like a ride on that overlooking mainland. As with Vikings a strange one to remove as it was always very popular.

It’s a shame they removed it, because it used to offer some lovely views around the mini and area. However it wasn’t very reliable as it always closed in bad weather (including cold) and didn’t have a particularly great throughout either.
The biggest complaint here is how it was removed so quickly and how it will probably never be replaced. Like the nearby Space Tower site.
I sense there could be more to come in this brutal round of Merlin cutbacks.

Although I'm surprised to hear this news it has been a long time coming. I love the ride in principle (great views over Miniland) but it can't run in the rain, cold, and I've even seen it close because of too much sun! And even when it is running the capacity is low, with it formally being a Cycle Monorail and therfore not designed to have high capacity vehicles.
California had a copy of this ride but it closed years ago.
I'd like to hope that a longer, more reliable version of this ride one day replaces it (perhaps wrapping all the way around Miniland). But I'm not convinced this will happen.

Sad to read about Legoland's elevated mini-train permanent closure and sudden removal, but I was lucky enough to ride on it earlier on in its final year on a pleasant enough day.

We were there today and the Sky Rider track is completely gone now. I did find the sign outside the entrance that said 'this ride is currently unavailable' quite morbidly funny, somewhat akin to reading a gravestone that says 'Mark is a bit poorly today and won't be coming into work'. Of course it's currently unavailable, it literally doesn't exist anymore!
Personally I won't miss it too much, purely because we seemed to be unlucky in that it seemed to be always closed when we were there, but the views were nice and I understand why many will miss it.
Nice few hours in the park overall, although my only major complaint is that Flight of the Sky Lion loading times seem to be getting even longer - I can empathise though as getting certain GP (especially with young kids) on a flying circus while complying with all safety regulations must be tricky. We had a nice time looking for the LEGO Elves scattered around the park. Personally as a nice shot of nostalgia it's still a very effective park, but I have no idea if I would be as enthusiastic if I was bringing my own kids.
