Further to the point about Towers Street, on the condition they re-planted some elsewhere, I'd take away all the large trees from there. Would add to the impact when you first walk through the gates if it's all wide open with unhindered views right down to the towers. Would also bring into focus more the great work they do at scarefest for e.g.

Little Changes: What would you do?

The Towers are significantly blocked now due to those trees! I don't think that was John Broome's idea.Further to the point about Towers Street, on the condition they re-planted some elsewhere, I'd take away all the large trees from there. Removing FT is, sadly, not a little change.
Also re: Oblivion, the gates can open straight away as far as I know? The daft rule of waiting for everyone to be off the platform only lasted a year or so.
SRQ should return 100% although unsure with Nemesis.

My minor changes would be
1. increase the ATTP and have a few more live actors scattered around the park including Henry Hound
2. have a standard 9-6 and on summer days extend to 8pm
3. bring back the baggage holds
4. Clean up the oblivion queue and remove / replace the tvs
5. bring back the wicker man preshow (once covid allows)
6. Bring the rapids back from the dead turn the waterfalls on and ramp up the speed (idc if they add seatbelts)

On point 4, I would also revert the changes that were made to the videos in 2015 as they kinda spoil the fun.My minor changes would be

As for point 6, not sure if they would be allowed to after Drayton Manor.

(a bit off topic but was DM found not guilty of negligence on it?)
No, they are being prosecuted by the HSE.

Smaller boats are more likely to capsize, so seatbelts would be dangerous as they would impede riders' escape.I think if they added 'precautions' like the under 16 rule and seatbelts they could have a case for doing it.

Realistically the best we will see on the rapids is the wave machines back on. Squiters won't return, as they do "encourage" people to stand and avoid the squirt. The waterfalls probably won't for the same reason.
But the wave machines move the boat and in my opinion don't specially make people more likely to stand to avoid the splash really.

I don't want more ATTP, just more entertainment. Once covid distancing is no longer an issue, they need a show back in the theatre. But also more walk-round characters in general, Henry Hound, the pirates etc.
I think 10-6, with ERT from 9 is probably realistic for the summer, but I generally agree, the park should do 6pm as standard July and August. I'm happy to have the park closed on September Tuesdays if it means longer summer days.
7/8pm on August Saturdays would be nice. Even if its a gradual close. Bring back Henry Hounds party on Towers St thing at 6pm in the summer. Close CBeebies and some other smaller rides (Hex, Thirteen, Rita) at 6pm, then keep Wickerman, Smiler Nemesis to 7pm or something is another idea.

If the rumours that Drayton's rapids is re-opening this year are true, and it's back to its former glory, then Towers will have some serious catching up to do.The Rapids does need work.
It's truly awful. A shadow of its former self.

I'm not sure Splash Canyon has ever seen much glory, to be honest. If the rumours that Drayton's rapids is re-opening this year are true, and it's back to its former glory, then Towers will have some serious catching up to do.![]()

I'd argue that raging pools of syphilis are really quite glorious!
