Merlin Entertainments: General Discussion

She was behind the marketing for Th13teen...
Ah, lovely... Hopefully she's changes since then.
Maybe she'll allow AT to get the old food outlets like Burger King and MDs back in, maybe have them pay rent to generate more revenue for the park...

Or am I thinking of the wrong thing here?

Wasn't she behind the made up portmanteau words like "fanspanktabulous" (or whatever) as well?

Ah, that. I've heard of it, the... Over-reactive promotional ad.

I heard it from a vid I watched months back. By Expedition Theme park, which is linked if ye curious. Even as the guy titles it "The Marketing Failure of Th13teen". Good vid nonetheless, goes into the history of the ride. Anyway, I'll leave it here, mostly so I don't annoy the admins by pushing the topic to something else.

Actually not a bad shout, after all theme parks are supposed to be a place of fantasy, where you need to suspend your disbelief. Ol' Liz'd be a perfect fit.

Well, the interim CEO is Fiona Eastwood, the current Chief Operating Officer, who could potentially fill the roll for a while. It really just depends on how long Merlin want to wait to fill the position. i.e. are they willing to wait to find the right person for the job.

It did cross my mind whether they might be able to skim someone senior from Disney at this point, given that we're expecting some significant changes at the top over there in the not too distant future.

Ì do find it interesting that Fiona is taking over as the interim, as she was a new appointment under his tenure IIRC?

I think they'll possibly be looking to someone from the Middle East region as the longer term replacement. I wouldn't say no to Greg Pearn, personally.
