That's valid, but he is on record as saying it was always the plan. The suggestion he was even slightly opposed is refutable, as is the one he'd be up for taking it back private.
 
now the company has been taken public, they are suddenly realising the downside to that short term cash injection, would have been far better off trying to source the funding elsewhere, and just because Varney once said it was always the plan, doesn't mean he is now suffering from sellers remorse.
