Queen - These are the Days of our Lives
"I'd like to go back one time, on a rollercoaster ride"
How many can you think of?

And the big wheel keep on turnin'
Neon burnin' up above
And I'm just high on the world
Come on and take a low ride with me girl
On the tunnel of love
Yeah, love

Yeah, now I'm searchin' through these carousels and the carnival arcades
Searching everywhere from steeplechase to palisades
In any shooting gallery where promises are made
To rock away, rock away

Girl, it looks so pretty to me
Like it always did
Like the Spanish City to me
When we were kids

The obvious one is Roller Coaster by Ronan Keating :p

"Life is a roller coaster, you've just got to ride it"

I saw a wild mouse, where?
there on the rails,
where on the rails,
right there.

A wild mouse with wheels on,
well I declare,
goin' zip-zipperty-zap
round the track.

But one winter's day,
with no-one around,
the bulldozers came,
smashed it all to the ground.

:(

For those of a certain age.....

Barry Blue - Dancin' (On a Saturday Night)

Contains the lines........

Well the roller coaster,
Gotta make the most-er,
dance dance dance the night away.
Helter skelter,
maybe I can help her,
dance dance dance the night away.

It's a classic :)

'Fairground' by Simply Red. I'm not a fan of their music but the video brings back memories from my childhood. It's also not a bad advert for the Big One!

Another more obvious one is 'Love Rollercoaster' by the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Great, I now have both of these songs on loop in my head:banghead:

Sugarcult - Daddy's little defect

I don't don't don't believe i fell alseep talk's a waste of time.
The roller coaster that i rode with her on valentine's

I don't think there are many songs referring to specific parks or coasters, probably because very few of them are famous enough to reach near-universal cultural awareness. However, 'Eleanor Put Your Boots On' by Franz Ferdinand is an exception, making reference to the Coney Island Cyclone.

"But if you run you can run
To the Coney Island rollercoaster
Ride to the highest point and
Leap across the filthy water"

Best song about an actual park is Palisades Park, by a mile ...

Or if you like thing a bit heavier ...

Taylor Swift has recently released a song called Coney Island.

The Beatles had Helter Skelter which effectively invented rock music and inspired Charles Manson.

Republica - Ready To Go. Linked forever in my brain to Top Thrill Dragster.

How funny, as a result of a home video my dad filmed of me as a kid, in my head it's forever linked to the Pinfari RC40 at Wicksteed Park! :tearsofjoy:

The Beatles - Helter Skelter

Their heaviest ever track by quite a distance...

"The song was McCartney's attempt to create a sound as loud and dirty as possible. It is regarded as a key influence in the early development of heavy metal".

Edit: ah I see @John_P already has it covered

Have some Springsteen.

"The amusement park rises bold and stark
Kids are huddled on the beach in a mist
I wanna die with you, Wendy, on the streets tonight
In an everlasting kiss"

This one from the 1980's about Alton Towers mentions quiet a few rides in it's lyrics

The old adverts mentions "Alton Towers" in the lyrics

You give me that funny feeling in my tummy. Step right up and get your tickets!
