That it's an awesome beast of a ride that to this day has a very special place in John's heart

There has been info over the past few months suggesting that a refurb of Nemesis is in the planning which could extend to a full retrack - if John Wardley is involved that can only be a positive in my mind.

Or he could have been at the park for a completely unrelated reason and just fancied a go on his best ride creation whilst he was there, can’t blame him!

Imagine if the next SW was related to Nemesis

Well I would personally say Air was his best creation. Not the best ride but to build such a technological ride like that back then is very impressive

People have claimed to have seen him wearing an AT ID tag (seen a picture of him with his ID tag on social media) with the MMM team in Dark Forest so this may not suggest it's Nemesis related. Could be consulting on anything. Wonder what? Definitely doesn't look like a social visit.

But you cannot give him the credit for the technological advancements made. That was all worked out, designed and engineered by B&M and ConsignAG.

Bollinger & Mabillard (and their team) made the tech.

John Wardley isn't a rollercoaster designer, he is more of a set designer and looks more at the "big picture". A flying rollercoaster was likely B&Ms idea, the oasis theme and some aspects of the layout would be from John and Tussauds Studios (now Merlin Magic Making).

And on that basis it could be argued that Air was actually one of his least successful projects. Many of the set design elements such as theming, waterfalls and tunnel etc were dropped for budget reasons, meaning the vision could not be realised as intended by John and the team.

The only words audible in that period were 'NEMESIS' and occasionally 'RESURRECTED'. I think I read somewhere it was a guitar effect pedal it went through.

But yes whatever is happening there is clearly a very analogue solution to insert itself with such a nasty clunk.

Isn't wardleys role profiling the layout

No, Wardley isn't an engineer. He comes up with key ideas and concepts for rides which are then further developed by engineers and architects. His background is in theatre and special effects. The man is incredible at what he does, but a lot of enthusiasts have the wrong idea about what it is he is actually responsible for when it comes to attraction design.

John Wardley has worked on profiles of coasters, and he is the one who re-profiled Wicker Man's first drop. He will most certainly have had input in to the profile and design of Nemesis with B&M coming up with the final designs.

I expected he would have input into it, I think he said for Nemesis the idea of the final inversion was his, it was meant to be a bit hidden and a surprise when you think the rides nearly over. But it would be up to B&M to profile the ride and make sure the layout can safely work.

From my understanding, the extent to his aid with profiling is through the use of NoLimits2? At least that's what I heard with the reprofiling of Wicker Man's first drop.

I think I am right in saying NoLimits2 is a pretty complex and powerful piece of software. I'd imagine it would be quite easy for a ride manufacturer to take a design from there and re-create it using their own tools.

I'm not in any way trying to take away from John's talent and work over the years, and yes I'd agree that NoLimits2 is indeed a pretty capable bit of software having used it myself. I'm merely mirroring what John himself says on his website which is, and I quote, "I must stress that I do not actually DESIGN rides myself. I come up with basic ideas for the concept, and it is then over to others (architects, civil engineers, structural & mechanical engineers, etc. etc.) to actually create a ride which is safe, reliable, and operationally practical."

As much as I always thought Galactica got too much flack I do think it would have been nice to have "finished" Air and added these features
