New Adventure Park for Tatton Park

They're blatanlty Nimbys. Look back at one of the quotes from the Guardian article:

All those who live on the east side of Tatton Park will be blighted by a continual noise, with children screaming and playing, within the theme park,

National Trust land isn't public land, but it's run by a not-for-profit organisation for the public good. This differs from some charity, and all privately owned land.

Also, unlike the Freemasons, it is a charity with some government involvement, through successive National Trust acts. Although independent from the government, it could be said to be a public organisation acting on their behalf. Thus, semi-public land will be falling into private hands here.

Why can't we just make it into a lovely adventure playground, paid for by public money, that is free for anyone to use? That was enough for me when I was a kid.
 
Why can't the house and grounds be free to visit too.... and lets expand that to all semi-charitable government funded trusts... Quite fancy going to the Tower of London for free

These places have to fund the restoration of their historic properties or they end up like Alton Towers did in the 1950's
 
Well they already have an adventure playground next to the Hall, gardens and car park, so this will be a bit different. A bit unique. What our National Trust properties are. And although the area would be developed by BeWILDerwood, the land isn't being given to them. If in the future, the National Trust want to revert the land back to what it was, they can do so with ease, due to the nature of the attraction being proposed.
