A good friend of mine was a lucky competition winner and got to sit down on the bench with its creator before it closed to the public.

Did they get much information about the refurb? I heard that the creator hasn't sat on another bench since 2017

I just hope they expand on the backstory and the lore, the theming isn't very obvious to the average layperson.

I hope this rumoured re slat fixes the high amount of slat related downtime we have been getting.

I heard they are fitting the bench with the world's first hydraulic slat suspension system (HSS-S), for maximum comfort. I have it on good authority from a very reliable saucey source that Intamin are fitting the system. Apparently Intamin and Ronseal were spotted onsite talking to Lord Wardley, while all taking it in turns to sit on the bench.

I hope they don't change the logo or the soundtrack. They're classics. They should actually restore the bench to exactly how it was in 1992.
