I would love the see some strobe lighting in the tunnel, like how it was in Charlie at the end of the boat ride and some up to date theming. I feel like this would be a good refresh rather than a retheme.

I think the tunnel and ride as a whole work fine
It’s the presentation that’s the issue
Everything is rotting - literally
Need a real good refurb. Nothing more / nothing less
The theme works well, maybe not with smiler but personally I think smiler should change slightly
One thing I would say - this area must be the next to see work after FV.
I tend to disagree with the last part of the above, as I think both Walliams and Dark Forest are greater priorities as far as major overhauls go. X Sector probably only needs some cosmetic work, maintenance and a flat ride or two - I say ‘only’, that’s still a substantial sum of money!
On Oblivion - yes it needs a spruce up, but there’s still so much good about the ride that I expect and hope for it to be around for years to come, there are way more pressing priorities for Merlin’s resources.

Each to their own …. But I half agree
In short - all the areas are a bit…..crap
Walliams the worst. But Oblivion has received a little bit of a refresh this year with projector room looking better and some walls have been betterEach to their own …. But I half agree

There’s such a world of difference walking from Mutiny Bay, through Katanga Canyon, Gloomy Wood and Forbidden Valley (even though these are hardly world beating areas I still think they’re competently themed), and what we’ve currently got at the back of the park. Each to their own …. I'll never understand why cloud cuckoo land was ever ditched.
It made good sense as a family area in a part of the park otherwise full of high thrill attractions. It was bright, colourful, the twirling toadstool looked fantastic (even if it was just a rethemed old flat) and CATCF always drew crowds. It was Dr Seuss esque but not as creepy! Needed some new additions, but it did its job nicely imo.
Walliams is just a tacky IP. It's hardly Shrek or Jurassic Park.

Shrek, that famously classy, sleek and most chic of IPs.Walliams is just a tacky IP. It's hardly Shrek
I can't argue with the popularity of Shrek, or the revenue it's generated, but it's inarguably tacky slop.

I never understood the removal of CCL either. Always thought it was a great little area when it first opened.
Same as anything though, it got left, under invested in and Merlin saw an easy route out to use obsolete hardware.
Anyhow… Oblivion

Just clean the thing. The area. Replace what’s broken or about to break. Put in 2 properly themed flats on the site of Enterprise & Submission, put some “personnel in shades” back in as actors.
X-Sector is one of those things where if it’s not broke don’t try and re-invent it.
We forget most new park-goers (kids/teens) won’t have any memory of it being there since 1998 anyway. It’s still novel. Just needs marketing!
