Obscure UK Parks

Botton’s Pleasure Beach in Skegness have recently opened a brand new dark ride named Jurassic Resurrection, it would seem:

For a park of this calibre, it actually looks like a surprisingly good ride, with some nice animatronics in places!

Universal could come knocking though, the logo looks a little too similar to Jurassic World 😂🤦‍♂️

That's very impressive, I think, when you consider all the screens, animatronics and new ride system. Completely flew under my radar until I saw that video earlier. I like the way the jeeps are quite enclosed too.

Clacton Pier made a dinosaur attraction a few years ago - Jurassic Pier. The animatronics are good, but I've always thought it would be better as a tracked ride like this rather than a 4D cinema.

Poseidon Entertainment has made a video on dark rides in British museums, etc, as part of his two recent trips over here.

Nor sure if it's been mentioned anywhere but a large star flyer has gone up in skegness.

Getting a bit of attention on social media
I've seen several "it's already leaning" posts because they have been taken with a wonky lamppost in the frame.

I imagine the organisers will be watching the thing like a hawk after the last accident though

Another seaside amusement park lost 😥 Coney Beach in Porthcawl, Wales
PLEASE READ
It is with heavy hearts we would like to share with you personally that this season at Coney Beach will be our last. We will be closing our gates for the final time this October.
It’s the end of an era, for over one hundred years we and other showmen and their families have lived and worked in Porthcawl helping to make it a busy seaside destination. Bringing fun, laughter and fond memories to so many.
We will miss it greatly and while we are sad to see our time here come to an end we are forever grateful to have had the opportunity to have been part of so many generations of families lives, young and old.
Thank you for sharing our love of ‘all the fun of the fair’ and the legacy that Coney Beach leaves.
The Evans family

I usually visit Porthcawl once or twice a year as it's only a 45-minute drive from me. It's a huge shame. Planned for the land to consist of housing. Coney Beach isn't too dissimilar from Oakwood, where both were my childhood parks/family trips/holidays.

A good opportunity for Barry Island Pleasure Park to draw more custom.

I'll pop down to Coney Beach at Porthcawl before it closes later this year.

New rollercoaster for Scotland? 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Just seen from @TPoseOnTantrum's post on CoasterForce that Landmark Forest have submitted documentation for a 'Spinning Coaster' to replace their Runaway Timber Train ride. A BBC article states;

Spinning Coaster

According to documents submitted to Highland Council, the new ride - called the Spinning Coaster - could involve single vehicles and a series of turns, drops and climbs.
It could reach a maximum height of almost 18m (59ft) - higher than the previous ride's 9m (30ft).
The parts for the Spinning Coaster could take up to two years to construct in a factory and then about six months to build at Landmark.

Looking at the planning portal, it appears we have somewhat of a layout - seems to be custom?

Would be so great for the park if this materialises and might just be the best coaster in Scotland!

Someone check up on @QTXAdsy 😂😂

Will this be a temporary or actual permanent coaster unlike before?

Wonder what make it could be...got a feeling it's Zamperla, because ofc it would be.

Seems to be permanent. The screening request letter states;
Foundation works for the roller coaster including:
The construction of pocket foundations whereby column bases are concreted into prefabricated foundation pockets without the use of foundation anchors.
The introduction of Concrete slabs with anchor bolts.
Minor amendments to the existing drainage arrangements within the site.

Could well be a Zamperla Twister Coaster Freeform but that’d still be decent imo! A bit like the Wild Mouse at Cedar Point
