Obscure UK Parks

They have used two coasters as "static adverts" that rarely opened.
Never seen the Rocket open either, though it looked quite pretty, likewise the old looper they put on the Marine Drive.
Looked alright to tempt the punters in, but, er, under maintenance...always.
Tried but failed to ride both.
"I'm sorry it will not be opening today", on repeat.

I hope they have more luck with free entry, which it should be as a seaside funfair.

Went and rode The Rocket in 2021, the one of the same model had derailed up in Scotland so thought best get up and ride it before they shut it. The old looper was just sat there unopened that day, but it was open when I last visited in 2022. Think it was removed after that season.

Free entry is best for that park for sure, just wish they had something that would make it worth the effort for me to go there again.

Rocket spited me. Didn't dispatch until I was driving past on the way to North Wales after abandoning the park. If we'd waited we'd have missed the Llandudno cred

Went and got that last summer along with the wacky worms in Towyn and Rhyl. Have now ridden 3 wacky worms in the exact same spot in Towyn at Fun Land.

Praying non of them have new coasters this year so I don't need to go back again this summer.

We did Southport, Knightly's, Tir Prince, Rhyl Sea Front and Llandudno Pier in a day.

Most upsettingly it is now a +3 again.

Went to Rhyl and Towyn in 2020 so got all the coasters at the 3 parks. Then the ownership of Tir Prince went back to the landowners and they replaced everything and Knightlys replaced their coaster so had to go back a year or so later to get all of them. Added on New Brighton to that trip to get the Runaway Train they have.

Then in the few years after that Rhyl, Funland, and Llandudno Pier added a new coaster each so went and got them last year.

I went to Brean on Sunday; park was very quiet and some of the rides (Log Flume, Crazy Mouse) had already been sold. Bulldog Coaster was closed with no train on the track.

Fortunately Astro Storm and Terror Castle were open alongside most other remaining rides.

I'm not sure if the park could continue to operate; if the old owners still own the rides and have lost their lease to Unity (who own the land), I can't see how it can?
