going commando definitely isn’t an option in our team’s footy shorts, they’re white and made of the most rubbish thin material!Perhaps @rob666 is on to something here by opting for no cacks at all. It doesn't help sporting situations when you do need everything held in place however.

Pants!
I loved PE, it was one of my favourite subjects at school!Well, I guess we all learn from experience. I don't recall boxers being a huge issue in PE for me, but they probably were. I've just blocked a lot of memories of PE lessons from my mind, as I loathed them for so many reasons. Should've just worn briefs instead, but as mentioned earlier on, that would've opened up a whole world of problems for me in the PE changing rooms.
You can’t go to the toilet when you’re in the middle of a football game, used to have to just stick hands down shorts and hope nobody was looking!I hate when this happens, and feel myself having to do this more often. So uncomfortable if you haven't got the right underwear on. Loads of trips to the toilet to do nothing else than readjust yourself to avoid discomfort.

Well, there was always the fact I just wasn't any good at it, no matter how hard I tried, not exactly helped by my lack of coordination. One PE teacher took a bit of a dislike to me, and would occasionally find ways to humiliate me or embarrass me. His logic also made no sense sometimes - why, when someone's not taking part in a PE lesson due to injury, would you get that same child to change into their PE kit? The worst thing was I acquired the injury - a broken finger - in one of his own ****** PE lessons! The other things I disliked about PE were being outside in the cold and wet, the changing rooms being a thick scent of sweat and Lynx Africa, them being really noisy, and the odd occasions when some utter ******* of a child would turn the lights off in the sports hall changing rooms (this would sometimes happen multiple times at either end of a PE lesson). Not nice at all.I loved PE, it was one of my favourite subjects at school!
I had "youngest in year/**** at sports" syndrome too...with similar experiences.
Got away with enjoying cycling and swimming in lesson time in the end, but universally **** at team sports.
Nice bike ride out to the coasters on a dry wednesday afternoon for the two years of sixth form!

That sounds awful, I’m so sorry. Teachers sometimes don’t realise the lasting impression, either good or bad, they can have. Apart from having to wear uncomfortable boxers I can’t complain at all about my time at school, so I guess I’m really lucky.Well, there was always the fact I just wasn't any good at it, no matter how hard I tried, not exactly helped by my lack of coordination. Oh, I have a few more complaints, but that would drag this thread off-topic.That sounds awful, I’m so sorry. That sounds rubbish. At least you can wear what you want now!Oh, I have a few more complaints, but that would drag this thread off-topic.As previously mentioned, though, wearing briefs instead of boxers would've definitely made things tougher for me in school for reasons I've already mentioned.

Exactly! And if anyone is weird about it, that's their problem - not mine. That sounds rubbish. At least you can wear what you want now!
Now I can only say things change over time.
I remember one lad coming to school , loud and proud, in his grandfathers long johns in the middle of a bitter winter, under his school trousers.
Wore them in football, then wore them all afternoon without overtrousers, just to be a punky rebel...it was that time.
But back then, it was y fronts or nothing...

That’s funny. Can’t say I have ever worn y-fronts, I prefer the smaller sports type briefs. When I was growing up it was pretty much all boxers. They say fashion goes in circles so maybe y-fronts will be back in fashion one day!Now I can only say things change over time.

I think there’s more briefs in the shops than there was a few years ago, it used to be 100% boxersAlso a lot of football players wear fashionable briefs from brands like Odballs. It’s only a matter of time until they grow in popularity. That seems unlikely to me, but you never know...

I bought a pack of these sports boxers from Lidl, they look good as they are wicking, have ventilation zones, use Lycra for stretch, and promise that they are “seamless - no uncomfortable side seams”. And at only £4 for a 2 pack they are excellent value, looks good right?

Sadly, they made one really bad error with these. Some numpty decided it would be a good idea to stick what can only be described as a thick five page booklet of scratchy labels right above the crack. Why go to to the trouble of designing something to be comfortable and seamless and then do this?

No need for it at all, care instructions can just be printed on to the fabric these days or at least design the labels so that they can be easily pulled off. Wore them for 10 minutes then had to cut the label out, but that left behind a scratchy stub which was even more irritating. Had to turn them inside out to wear them and they actually are very comfortable now, but I just wonder why they did that with the big labels in the first place.

They do look good for the price. I just find wearing boxers under shorts for sport a bit weird now, like double layering wearing two pairs of shorts.I bought a pack of these sports boxers from Lidl, they look good as they are wicking, have ventilation zones, use Lycra for stretch, and promise that they are “seamless - no uncomfortable side seams”. But what did you do when it came the next day when you were required to turn them inside out again the get that extra days usage?Had to turn them inside out to wear them and they actually are very comfortable now, but I just wonder why they did that with the big labels in the first place.
