Paultons Park: General Discussion

Wow…

As solid and sensible as you could wish for.

New Viking area - Valgard (May 2026 opening)

New Gerstlauer eurofighter (Drakon), with two inversions, vertical lift and dark section.

New art engineering wild swing

New highly themed children’s play area

Raven - Cobra rethemed

New highly themed restaurant

New toilet block

Magma removed from the park but not the UK…

New water attraction/area teased for 2027 on the go karts site (if this is a Mack water coaster )

New accommodation 2030+

Honestly; they embarrass Merlin with their additions. The effort, attention to detail and quality with what they’ve put in. A provincial theme park. Worth saying that tomorrow (12th May) has longer opening hours than Alton Towers.

Sensible, targeted additions, achieving good value for money and quality.

Go and visit, they deserve it

Not the coaster I was hoping for but maybe this might have the lapbar trains maybe compared to the rest?

Suppose they are being quite conservative and they are taking baby steps with this being their first inversion coaster so I'm not going to get too worked up about it. Also, 2027 seems to be a water ride so let's see how that goes. Going to be interesting to see that barren area of the land look so different come next year.

Sorry, OTSRs.
The Gerstlauer will have over the shoulder restraints. They've reasoned that the perception of an over the shoulder restraint is safer than a lap bar, for parents and families, have forced their hand.
