Paultons Park: General Discussion

I see they really emphasised that the new coaster will be their tallest 'to date'. They repeated it twice right after each other so I think it's safe to presume the Water coaster in 2027 will be taller the following year.

Not a fan of Euro fighters really so slightly disappointed but I think budgets have a lot to do with it. They are cheap to build afterall.

I can see it being another hit for Paultons though. Not as keen now though to make the 450 mile round trio though If I'm honest.

I’m feeling the same as you. I may well just wait until 2027 and do this and the water coaster in one go

Wow, I honestly didn't anticipate those leaks to turn out to be true.

I'm disappointed that it got leaked on the forums by users (on the inside)

It is an amazing reveal and a very safe choice for a thrill coaster.

Disappointed that Magma is leaving the park and that the water ride/coaster isn't coming until 2027 but it's definitely a good area.

I look forward to seeing what they bring out of their hat next.

Yeah I'm thinking same. I will have 4 new rides to check out then including Ghostly Manor and the new Flat ride.

Euro Fighters tend to ride pretty well in their first 2 to 3 seasons and then deteriorate badly. Paultons do have a sterling record at maintaining their rides well but even they will be tested to keep a Euro Fighter in tip top condition.

If anything I'd have preferred them to combine the 2026 and 27 coaster budgets into just one ride and added something collosal and ground breaking. Would have put them on the map more I reckon. Ah well....

If it's the same swing they have at Tripsdrill, good to see as that's a fun ride (think we did it twice on my trip).
Disappointed to see a Eurofighter with OTSRs (although don't all Eurofighters have OTSRs? Can't think of any that don't). Would have been great to have a lap bar Infinity coaster with a layout a bit like Fury (Bobbejaanland) or Gold Rush (Slagharen).

I've never been to Paulton's but with these added to the lineup it's definitely worth the long drive from Lancashire. Although I'm considering the TS meet in a couple of weeks for my first visit.

Congratulations to our 2026 coaster forecaster @jadeiteflylemon who was the sole correct Gertslauer prediction! 🥳

Nobody correctly guessed the flat ride type or manufacturer so that was a nice surprise.

2027 predictions remain open. After seeing todays reveal i feel more confident in my guess. A full large scale next generation flume or coaster with the space and budgets available seems unrealistic. Plus the mention of height repeatedly during the presentation would correlate.

2027 new ride

@Bowser Mack PowerSplash
@Matt N Mack Water Coaster
@owenstreet7 Intamin Flume (4 rides for 2026)
@Quantum Mack Rocking Boat

Great call with Fury and Gold Rush. They'd have been much better going with clones of those two. Far more enjoyable and re-rideable coasters. Comfortable too.

'Mystic' was the other one too.

I have to say I am very very surprised they have gone for a Euro Fighter. They don't have a great reputation really among enthusiasts and Paultons seem to be very closely aligned with the UK and coaster enthusiasts.

Been saying it for a while though..... Gerstlauer must have an incredible sales team with the amount of those they have shifted over the years. I have ridden quite a number of them and have never come off one thinking I must run back around and do that again.

A lot of Euro Fighters have over the shoulder restraints like TMNT, Takabisha and Novgorod all held in high regard.

The theming is what it going to carry this area

Yes, it's the same model as Wilde Gautsche at Tripsdrill.

Yes there are lapbar only euro fighters. I've ridden the one at Casino Pier. That was decent with those trains.

Disappointed- yes

But I actually think the layout looks good - just what Paultons need

It’s just that Eurofighters aren’t that good quality wise and tend to be rough quite wiickly

Overall package looks good

I wonder where the Edge is being relocated to ...

My guess would either be the Raging River site & adjacent area, or the area where Jumping Bean & Jumping Jack used to sit (along the edge of the lake, behind the pirate ship and penguins)

To add to my 2027 prediction, I'm going with Intamin Flume and hopefully I'm right this time given how it seems the most conservative option IMO.

Is either the Euro-Fighter or Water Ride relocating from South Wales?
Oakwood's coasters will likely be relocated - if at all - to other Aspro parks, e.g. Walygator. No way would Paultons buy a hand-me-down especially if safety is a strong consideration for their target audience.

I have to say I am disappointed this is not an Infinity coaster, nothing against Gerstlauer but Eurofighters feel really last-gen especially with OTSRs. I worry that kids will find it uncomfortable and boring compared to other rides with similar height restrictions like Icon and Hyperia. I also think it will feel dated very quickly. Maybe it is down to cost but I feel that Paultons had an opportunity to do something really innovative here and they've not taken it.
