It sounds like a good idea, especially for a family or a group of friends who may buy a few photos during the day.
I imagine in these times more and more people would prefer a digital copy to just put straight on FB, Twitter, etc. Rather than a physical copy. In the past you had to buy a physical one to get the digital one.
It would also be good if they sold single digital copies as well as physical ones. EG £6 for photo only, £8 for photo and digital copy, or £3 for digital copy only.
Would be a great thing to do on a TST meet when we have a ride takeover! If everyone put a pound in we could have on ride photos all day on all rides

A few years back Towers did used to do a USB Wristband photo pass - forgot about this!Last year at Efteling, I bought a USB wristband for around €16 ( I think, might have been more) that was valid for 12 months and up to 18 photos. Plus I got a 3GB USB memory stick!

I was shown on Facebook a £5 annual photo pass for digital phots at Thorpe park, however, yesterday , thier existance was denied ...!!!!
God aren't I clever. The digital downloads thing was trialled in August then pulled - they seem to be trying all sorts of things so it may not be available when busier..
Wouldn't be surprised if Picsolve's servers did go into meltdown. They used to wipe every photo from the system every evening.. and then instead they now upload hundreds of photos a day? That's a big change.
Either way, hopefully they'll sort it. Digital downloads are the way forward, and I'm sure they know this!

It was just amusing because the four of us had got our £20 together and I literally had the money in my hand to give to the woman...
Instead of the £20 going into Picsolve's coffers, it went straight back into our pocket...
Hilarious.
This is it, the last time i bought a ride photo was the smiler opening day, the time before that was in the 90,s on oblivion.
I would pay £20 pretty much every time for unlimited digital downloads on the day, They don't want our money.

what sort of costs do they run at?Given that Disney's photopass is pushing online photos or ordering prints online instead of in the park I think PicSolve could do a lot more to improve their digital services.

Last time I went to Florida I think I paid $14.95 for a single photo download. But for $149 (this has gone up in price significantly though, used to be $99 last time I looked!) you can get downloads of all on-ride, all walk-around and all character photos for your stay at Disney. But if you don't purchase the unlimited download Memory Maker package then you can still view all your photos for 30days online and choose which you want to download/print or order them all on DVD. Disney have really moved away from printing photos in-park, it is a lot more about giving you that 30days to realise how great that picutre of you in front of Cinderella's Castle is.

is that $149 unlimited, say I rode test track 10 times, can I get all 10 ? If so then thats good value
one download at around £7 isnt great tho and would be too much for me to consider

As far as I know the memory maker pacakge includes every single photo taken of you at WDW (and on-ride video from some rides). There have been reports of some people managing to get 750+ photos (in front of castle, with Mickey, multiple rides etc).
