Plopsaland De Panne General Discussion

With only a 16 (?) rider vehicle, I’d be thinking 500pph is a bit optimistic as well unless the cycle is unfathomably short.

In practice, I’d imagine somewhere around 3 minutes per dispatch (so ~320pph) is probably a bit closer to what it’ll do.

Is there any indication as to when this is opening? It seems to have taken an age for this to go in.

Seeking some feedback from anyone who's got the 'new' Plopsa Pass Europe, specifically around the 25% discount and my upcoming visit. We're visiting with some friends and staying at the Basecamp (booking confirmation received). Currently, we don't have any tickets booked, but we're planning on visiting on the Saturday (26th) and a waterpark visit at some point. What I'm hoping is:

  • Rock up on our first day (24th) to the main entrance, get Pass, purchase tickets for the rest of the group (€38.25? €51 -25%?), sort out RAP situation.
  • Visit park on the 26th using Basecamp entrance
  • Keep running in to the park ditching my friends and family for sneaky RTH rides on other days
I know *I'll* get a 50% discount for the waterpark, will I be able to get a discount for the rest of the part? Anyone know whether there will be any issues with this setup?

Cheers!

Somewhat tenuous connection but the Tomorrowland festival main stage has caught fire. Thankfully nobody was hurt.

That’s not even the first time the stage has caught fire at a Tomorrowland festival. It actually happened before during the 2017 Tomorrowland Unite festival in Barcelona.

Show show must rave on, even while they are still building the replacement speaker towers!IMG_6398.jpeg

Rumored to be Metallica's speaker towers, which were in storage locally due to their current European tour, so they could be used last minute. Although the line and subarrays do not look like Metallica's Meyer sound equipment. In any case, those line arrays must be punching some serious firepower and sound pressure levels across the whole of that relatively small bowl of an arena the main stage sits in, judging by the size and placement of the speakers.

That said, no one wants to hear their favorite artists quiet; the ratio there is quite something, in a good way. I am all for any sound system that 'goes to eleven,' shall we say.

The Bos Van Plop ride has closed but it's only for a retheme and the ride will be returning:

Good, hopefully there will be more distinction between sections, as it currently feels like the whole ride is just one long scene that becomes quite boring by the end.

It’s all go at Plopsaland as a new pirate restaurant is being built!

The new restaurant will be significantly larger and more immersive than its predecessor, with a detailed design inspired by the popular Studio 100 character Piet Piraat. Concept art reveals a striking façade featuring “De Scheve Schuit,” the recognizable pirate ship from the children’s television series. The restaurant is planned as a two-story structure, providing expanded capacity and a stronger themed experience for families and park guests.

The current Piratengrill is set to be demolished in the near future. According to the public permit application, the construction will begin after the summer season, minimizing disruption during the park’s busiest months. The project reflects Plopsaland’s continued investment in enhancing its food and beverage offerings through immersive, story-driven environments that complement its existing attractions.
