From what I can gather the powercut during the Saturday was around the whole area (as I have a friend who lives near by and he told me they had one), however this could all be because there is so much power going to Alton Towers.
However I have to say the communication was shocking during the power cut, it doesn't matter if the staff were new or temporary, they should be trained on certain situations. Not once were we told what was going on, and we were then rudely told to leave the queue. The world thing is, about 20 mins later they managed to open the Carnival back up.
