PowerPark 2015: Gerstlauer Infinity Coaster, Junker

Update: Footers have apparently been installed very close to Junker, adding fuel to the fire for the extension rumours! I'd say this is now growing quite likely to be true, especially as track and supports that look exactly like Junker's have arrived on site!

Another update regarding the Junker scenario; the supports for what look like a very large vertical lift hill as well as a brake run are going up next to Junker, so some are suggesting that this may be a brand new Gerstlauer coaster completely independent of Junker. This would make more sense, but it then seems a bit odd that they would buy a coaster with the exact same track design and colour scheme as the one directly next to it, in my opinion. Then again, RCDB is also suggesting that this is the case (https://rcdb.com/17866.htm), and stranger things have happened within the theme park industry.
We'll have to keep an eye on this one...

For all we know, it might be an extension of their existing coaster. But that's what some are suggesting!Let’s get this right - they are building the exact same model next to their existing coaster.
why?

Does this mean they could add extra inversions on The Smiler in case it's record is ever under threat? (joke)

no but I heard potentially they could add a washing machine element

We have testing:
I'm sure it will speed up over time, but even so I'm not convinced about how good this might be. Does not look as good as Junker.
I realise its only testing, but I’ll never quite understand why Gerstlauer design so many of their rides in such a way that if you blew on the them through certain elements they would stall.

That's possibly the most annoyingly edited coaster video I've ever seen. I just wanted a sense of where the ride goes and how it navigates each element. Instead I feel like I'm stuck in a time loop, forever watching an empty car fall down the first drop and lumbering through the first element.
I'm all for some artistic interpretation and I tend to prefer edited videos to a single shot following a coaster train, but this is like filming a person walking down the street and including several angles of each foot fall.
Anyway - the ride looks fine.

The new coaster, named ‘Pitts Special’ has opened today.

Here’s a POV:
Having 2 green Gerstlauer Infinity coasters in one park seems incredibly unnecessary - particularly when the newer one looks inferior.
