Puy du Fou (France): General Discussion

The truth is that most theme park owners are likely to be right-wing to some extent. The right-wing political parties are the parties of big business, and theme parks are big businesses. So from the standpoint of their own business interests, I’d wager that most theme park owners will likely shake hands with right-wing politicians in their time to further their business interests.

The Thompsons of Blackpool Pleasure Beach are known to be prominent Tory donors. The owner of Adventure Island down in Essex is a known ally of Nigel Farage. I seem to remember hearing that even Michael Mack of Europa Park has supported some pretty far-right stuff politically.

Theme parks are inherently capitalist by nature, so owners and operators of theme parks are likely to lean towards politics that supports capitalism and big business. Regardless of your own political beliefs, most would agree that the left-wing parties are not traditionally pro-business, whereas the right-wing parties are. Anyone who runs a theme park is naturally going to support the sorts of parties that support big business, so unfortunately for anyone who supports left-wing politics and likes theme parks, I’d struggle to think of any theme park that’s likely to support left-wing politics.

"Left wing", "right wing"..... Meh.
The truth is that most of us are somewhere in the middle (with minor differences). Don't let the Septic news feeds and their extremes divide us. ;)
