I must’ve been cynical from a young age because I used to hear that in the queue and think well they’re popping back up out the ground 2 seconds later.
That was from the Rehydrator which was closed and turned into a foodstall (kept the same name though) in the early 2000sDidn’t the ride car going missing one get removed long before the crash, I never head it at the park.
Oblivion Tier
But that's the expected thing to do. Oblivion has a strong style but it's not really 'themed' in a traditional way, it's supposed to be suspenseful and imposing but uber cool and modern. The music doesn't really reflect the ride. It should be more dark and mysterious. Currently it gives the ride very little atmosphere.
It was only ever meant to be played loud in the station for the 2 mins you are preparing to board, not supposed to be the ride's 'theme tune'. So the music is kind of used differently to the other coasters.
Im not saying you said I said you said etc I was just making a general comment about the rideI'd sort of argue that those 2 minutes of being in the station before the ride are some of the most important for building up suspense and excitement.
I also didn't say that the soundtrack was a 'theme tune' but rather that the music doesn't fit the idea of the ride - it sounds like some sort of outdated disco music.
After all the build up, the big sinister climax is when you would be held at the top and the voice whispers "Dont look down!" but of course this had to be removed sadly
It might have been an Environmental order about noise pollution, after the noise complaints with the infamous Ropers case. I dont buy the 'it was making people scream' reason unless the deciding judge was being really thickI really miss Don't look down. I obviously know why they had to get rid of it. But I dont get why they couldn't just lower the volume of it or use it in the station istead.
