Scarefest 2025

I would say those walls are the sides of a wheelchair ramp.

If this is Dark Forest/Thirteen/Rita based, could this be the beginning of a revamp of the area? Afterall, Towers have had scare mazes "advertising" future rides over the years (The Welcoming - Wicker Man and The Sanctuary - The Smiler)

Out of the 2 remaining areas Dark Forest is the least themed and one that desperately needs something doing to it.
I hope so, the Dark Forest has massive potential.

I don't do scare mazes but if its TH13TEEN themed sign me up.

It’s weird that they’ve gone for some brickwork for a maze facade, it suggests some sort of permanence to the maze. I imagine this will be the spiritual successor to Terror of the Towers now that The Attic is as good as dead.

If they are still ending the Towers ruins as maze spaces, Dark Forest is a very logical place to put a scare maze. Maybe this will bridge the Towers/Hex and Dark Forest together, perhaps set in some other uncovered residence from the Earl of Shrewsbury that’s been overtaken by witches and demons. Or maybe they’ll throw us off entirely and they’ll give the Alton Ancestors their own scare maze!

One thing I have never understood with Scarefest is why Nicklodeon Outta Control Building was never used as a Scare Maze seems like a prime spot for one.
I think that area has historically been too family-orientated to house a proper scare maze. Cred Street, Cloud Cuckoo Land and The World of David Walliams are all themes that would be quite out of step with a scare maze.

Although I guess they made House of Monsters work, so never say never!

Scarefest without a maze in the towers would be very weird in my opinion. Hope we still get at least one. Nothing better than queing for a maze at night in the courtyard

Ahh I really hope that Terror of the Towers returns in some form, I will be gutted if it has gone, it won't be the same.

It's a staple of Halloween at Scarefest, I know it missed 2018, but it feels like it's always been there, and whilst it hasn't always been the strongest maze in the line-up, each incarnation has brought something special and unique to the event, from the first gothic labyrinth of 02, to the Bloodfest Banquet and the Master, to What Lies Within and, more recently, The Attic.

Furthermore, Towers is the most atmospheric location for a maze. There's something about queueing around the historical ruins with the coloured lighting and foreboding soundtrack, it adds to the experience, and the warehouses just can't compete with that. And it allows them to be v creative in terms of layout of the maze.

I know some prefer to have the Towers open all year around, but I think it's worth closing them ~August time for a maze as it still gives people 4 months to visit the Towers each year.

I get that this may be to do with construction costs, and the requirement for Towers to disassemble maze sets, but I still think that it's worth it for the TOTT brand.

I know it's just a maze, I have just always loved the concept of "Terror of the Towers".

I know, I need to get a grip!
