I don't know if anyone here went, or knows how it was? But last years event must have gone well enough as this year it's on for two days, Sunday 13th and Friday 18th March 2016.
Interestingly the small print states The Smiler and Air will not be available, but no other mentions of planned closures. Probably nothing to be read into that, it was probably written weeks ago anyway and the park probably don't know themselves how next year will look with any great certainty, but that's what it says.
Thinking about it, one of these 'private' events would probably be the ideal time to reopen The Smiler, couldn't be a lower profile day, no press access, and then when it does open 'to the public' it takes a lot of wind out of the sails of the story to be able to say people have actually been on it weeks ago.
