There's no benefit for them to do it.

Though Alton did basically do it with the Nemesis closing and reopening marketing.

The whole we're building all these coasters/rides across the parks is because they've just shuttered multiple rides across a number of parks. And gave no actual warning it would be happening.

Now any news report or article about them closing the tallest coaster in the world will end worth it mentioning they'll be opening a new ride in 2026.
