Clearly they will have done hundreds of tests with dozens of outside experts to conclude that this is 100% safe. They may not have been "made for it", but if this wasn't completely safe for the ride and the rider, they wouldn't do it.
B&M might not have had this in mind, but if they had any safety objections this would blatantly not be going ahead.
