Six Flags have released a statement today stating that they will be selling off multiple parks in their portfolio to Enchanted Parks and La Ronde Operations. These are the parks that will be sold.
  • Michigan’s Adventure (Grand Rapids, MI)
  • Schlitterbahn Waterpark Galveston (Galveston, TX)
  • Six Flags Great Escape (Queensbury, NY)
  • Six Flags La Ronde (Montreal, QC)
  • Six Flags St. Louis (St. Louis, MO)
  • Valleyfair (Minneapolis, MN)
  • Worlds of Fun (Kansas City, MO)
It seems that the park will be going through a transition period over the coming season re: Branding.

*Being sold to epr, enchanted parks and la ronde operations are operating but not owning.

Interesting note is epr is a company that sixflags have a long history with, including owning some existing six flags operated and branded parks.

It is interesting that La Ronde is leaving, because, although it has never been a flagship park, it was surely an important Canadian asset for Six Flags to have.

The new Six Flags, however, has Canada’s Wonderland, so the merged company will maintain a presence in Canada regardless.

This probably makes La Ronde less important to keep.
