I’m guessing that the Depth Charge style water slide at Gulliver's is completely unattended then?:

That’s at Gulliver’s World in Warrington. I did the water slide at Gulliver’s Kingdom in Matlock and there was definitely an op at the top of the ride so I’m not sure what’s going on there or why the dinghy has even stopped.

I’ve seen boats get stuck on Depth Charge if there’s not enough weight, but the staff have a whole procedure involving ropes etc.

How Gullivers had a guest climbing up the slide, I’ve no idea what was going on. I’ve only ever seen one of these rides operate completely unattended, and that was at Djurs Sommerland, it’s certainly not an operating mode which I’d expect to see in the UK to be honest.

A lot of these rides have no op at the bottom, relying on riders to load the boats on to the lift. Not too much the ride op at the top can do about someone climbing up from the bottom really! If it were my daughter stuck mid way I'd do the same, very little risk involved in all honesty.

It’s apparently the one that was meant to be going to Prater in Vienna. Unfortunately that project couldn’t go ahead and so it seems it’s heading elsewhere in the country.

They've also announced the coaster 'Wild Train' will have its last season of operation in 2024.
