Just stumbled across some old photos I had of the hotel and theme park. Not many but shows

- old carpet, furniture in ATH
- who remembers the colour changing kettle and duck hairdryers in the rooms?
- Pagoda fountain in all its glory
- The music tent near Hex (now Woodcutters bar and grill)
- Old ATH hotel room colours
- Splash landings and conference suite under construction
- Swan boats
- Corkscrew
- Plaque on garden wall

Some nice photos there. But my god what a state the corkscrew looks in those photos!

Looks weird not having the walkway between ath and splash in that photo of the conference centre construction

Loving proof there was colour changing kettles originally in ATH I've had a debate about this before lol. Although the ATH carpet is rancid, thank god thats improved.

Cheers for the nostalgia.

Indeed, this is why I am always somewhat baffled when people suggest that the Alton of yesteryear was as clean as Magic Kingdom and the shabby bits are something specific to this period of time. I never remember that being the case.
